Treesje Hendrix

On my search for the perfect bag with just a hint of "rock-n-roll", I came across the Hendrix Hobo by Treesje. This bag definitely fits the bill. The leather is supple, while maintaining its shape, and the zippers add just enough bad girl vibe. It is a great size bag that can be held either over the shoulder or in your hand, and features very functional interior pockets. It also features a snap closure at the top that keeps your valuable from flying everywhere. Even though I am about to be a Mommy, this bag will allow me to keep some of that cool factor :)

Definitely snap up this bag while they last!!!

The perfect clutch

What if you could only have one bag? In my case, I think I’d choose the Morning After Clutch from Rebecca Minkoff. It is actually 3 bags in 1. It can be worn on the shoulder, messenger style, or with the chain removed as a hand-held clutch.

I admired this classy bag for months, but I admit I was hesitant to purchase one. I knew I loved the look, but I wasn’t sure if it would hold everything I needed. I carry a fairly large wallet, and often times a paperback novel, along with a notebook, cell phone, keys, lipstick, and gum. So I hemmed and hawed and kept putting off buying one until I fell in love with the steel leather at Aster Alice.

It’s a gorgeous, subtle, gunmetal grey, without a lot of bling; and I knew as soon as I saw it that I needed to act fast. I’m so glad I did! The photographs just don’t do it justice. This is a beautiful neutral bag that can go with jeans and a casual shirt, or even a little black dress. I think it’s one of Rebecca Minkoff’s best colors yet.

The Morning After Clutch measures 11" x 2" x 8" with a 21" drop. The interior features 1 zip pocket and 3 slip pockets, 2 of which are able to hold a cell phone. There is a zip pocket underneath the front flap on the exterior as well. I use mine to store receipts. The top of the bag closes with a zipper as well. The front of the bag sports either a dog leash-style or the new “signature hardware” closure, and there are metal feet on the bottom of the bag.

One of my favorite features is the removable tassels on the front and top zippers of the bag. Depending on which leather you choose you will have short tassels, long tassels, or none.

At the beginning of this review I told you I’d pick this one bag over any else, if (heaven forbid) I had to choose. Actually I think you will find you love this bag so much, and find it so versatile, that you won’t stop with just one!

Celebrities love the Morning After Clutch!

A diaper bag that doesn't scream "baby!"

I have long believed that the right bag can take a woman from feeling frumpy to feeling fabulous in a matter of minutes. Case in point: Not Rational’s Hansel diaper bag.

After the birth of my 8th child, I felt like I could write a book on being frazzled. In keeping with my motto, I’ve owned an embarrassingly large number of diaper bags. While most of them did the job well, even fashionably, it wasn’t true love until I tried the Hansel diaper bag from Not Rational.

The first thing that you’ll notice about this bag is the luxurious leather. It’s no wonder that it’s a favorite among celebrities such as Christy Turlington, Christina Aguilera, Heidi Klum, and Jessica Alba. Even Tim Gunn loves it! The leather on my Hansel is soft, smooshy, and downright yummy. Alright, I haven’t tasted it yet, but the divine smell makes it hard not to.

The Hansel measures12.5” high x 16” wide x 5.5” deep. It comes with adjustable shoulder straps and an adjustable, detachable 37” messenger strap. Also included are a changing pad, baby bottle, and pacifier. The inside features 2 slip pockets, but the 5 outside pockets are my favorite feature. The front main pocket has magnetic snaps, and is the perfect size for stashing your phone and a small wallet. The four remaining pockets (two on front, two on back) are perfect for storing hand sanitizer, a water bottle, fruit snacks, or any number of small essential items. You can load this bag up and still have pockets to spare! The main compartment of the Hansel zips closed.

As far as favorite features go, a close runner up to the pockets are the small straps on either end of the bag. These can be looped through your key ring or pacifier clip, for easy access. No more digging through your bag to find your keys! They can also be unsnapped to make the interior roomier. I have been told these straps can even be snapped around some stroller handles to attach your Hansel for hands free carrying.

The Hansel diaper bag is such an amazing, beautiful bag that you won’t want to part with it when your baby is out of diapers. I love them so much I bought 3! I use one for daily outings, another for overnight trips, and keep another packed up with spare supplies in the car. This is one baby bag that will be with you long past the baby stage!

Rebecca Minkoff MAM

It was a child-on-Christmas-Day moment when I ripped open the box, tore through the tissue paper, and finally saw the Rebecca Minkoff Morning After Mini for the first time. I gingerly lifted the bag out of its box, removed the stuffing, slung it over my arm, and sought my reflection in the mirror. Even my sweats and t-shirt could not detract from the elegance of the soft leather, crisp lines, and classy hardware of the MAM. It was perfection.

That was several weeks ago and I’ve carried this bag every day since then. I have established a new love for the leather now that it has broken in nicely. It is soft and supple enough to look tasteful, whether carrying just the

essentials or stuffed to the gills with the kitchen sink. The interior pockets make it easy to organize and find things even when the bag is full. I love to carry the bag in the crook of my arm, or sling it over my shoulder, depending on how many shopping bags I have to carry. There is also a detachable cross-body strap that comes with the bag, for a quick hands-free adjustment.

Rebecca Minkoff brought back the longer, unfinished tassels on her MAMs this season and I, for one, and so glad she did. The removable tassels give this bag a versatile edge, making it easy to dress down or up. The first compliment I received on the bag was directed toward the tassels. They catch, and hold, every eye.

Rebecca Minkoff, has since the begining of this year become one of my favourite designers.
I have tried many different styles of her bags and liked them, but nothing has been taking my breath away as much at the Matinee.
When I saw it in TEAL on AA, I knew I've had to have it, so I preordered it. Full price! I never pay full price for my purses anymore, and I was in great doubt but this purse was worth every penny.
This is by far my favourite color. It's blue-green with a nice looking leather. It's distressed and delicate, yet so smooth and pretty. It fits perfectly over your shoulder, or in the crook of your arm and the long unfinished tassles just makes it outstanding. What also love about it, is all the pockets. It's so roomy and you can fit so much of your stuff in there. Very organized, wich I like.
You can't go wrong with this bag, this one has become one of my absolute favorites, and I don't think I will ever be able to part with it, because I know I won't ever be able to find a bag like this again.

Hayden Harnett Wyeth Tote

  • Oh Wyeth doth this multi trended collision totally work? Because it was orchestrated by Hayden-Harnett of course! A super sized bag with a touch of fringe, a pinch of studs, handles and a messenger strap work effortlessly together to portray a vibe of bohemian luxe! I'm pleasantly surprised, I admit it!

  • When I first saw the Wyeth, I had to look twice! When you carry it, so will others!

  • To really appreciate the beauty of this baby, you have to know that the unexpected is what's expected from Hayden-Harnett. Luxuriously soft leather, a silky lining and pockets galore make the Wyeth a head turner suitable for the daily grind. Yep, worth every penny!

Hayden-Harnett's Havana Hobo

Hayden-Harnett Havana Hobo
I've always had a fondness for functionality when it comes to handbags, but I refuse to settle for second-class style. That's why when I came across Hayden-Harnett's Havana Hobo, I thought I'd found my shoulder's soulmate. Comfortable yet chic, this style has become a favorite of mine with its practical pockets and easy close flap. I chose the color Goldrush since it transitions well from spring to fall, and even better, from day to night. Its rich shimmer adds a touch of sparkle to any outfit. It’s a must-have for fashionistas who live in the real world.

1st Post! New York Trip.

First of all, let me start by saying I love staying at a nice hotel. Love it more when it is in NY; and thanks to Company's CC, we got a studio with a 'view'. Another 'perk' about this Hilton Hotel is the famous street food vendor next door. I swear they sell to over a thousand customers a day. We see a line (of around 30 people) every time we pass the place, even at 1am at night. Crazy huh? I wonder how much they make "$$". Ok, don't let this stop you from going to college.

Back to business... One of the biggest accomplishment this time was teaming up with a company called 'aboutArt'. We will be bring some of their clothing lines to our webstore soon. The lines are by young designers from Korea. Expect something fresh and different. I personally love every single piece. Quality is great and price point isn't too bad.

Now, meeting w/ Rebecca Minkoff was a awesome experience. We got to see her newly renovated showroom, and of course her upcoming collections. Can't give away too much... but look for the flower studds on her classics. It looks like my personal favor, the rocker, will be part of her classics (with all sort of fun details). AND we are working on store exclusives coming this Oct/Nov. We are so excited!

Then we went to COC's showroom. (COC reps for Botkier, Foley & Corinna, Kooba, Treejse, & Hayden Harnett etc..).. so sad that we missed the industry 'networking' party few days before. It was a choice between that and whole bunch of us going out that night. Of course, being me, play > work always! Oh well, not a big deal, my boss already knew that. Anyway, at the showroom, we got to meet the two Treesje designers and of course their collection for holiday/resort as well as spring 10. My favor for spring is their small cross-body quilted leather bag with studds. How amazing is that? Their small leather goods are also exciting. Perfect for X'mas gifts this year (hurry up, be my friend lol).

Colors... there are a lot of blues for the winter color this year. Kooba, especially, is coming out with this beautiful beautiful blue leather. The color is the PERFECT deep blue tone, and the texture is beyond amazing! My all time favor Kooba Sienna is making a return this holiday season. I've reserved one in Snake Skin for myself. Pre-sale soon available on our site. Hayden Harnett has a perfect work bag (Burke) for their Fall/Winter collection. Aubergine, and mixture of dark purple and plum, is my favor color for this bag!
